I’ve always loved natural motifs, especially florals. In the same classes where I practice shodo Japanese Calligraphy, I’ve also been learning bokuga - Japanese ink painting.

The subjects for bokuga are often landscapes, flora, and fauna. So this winter, as the days get short and grey, I’ve been focusing on colorful floral patterns.

Time to finish up your holiday shopping with some one-of-a-kind gifts!

And as always, you can email me for custom orders: the scarf you liked sold out? you love the pattern of roses but would prefer pink? you want to know if I can do a design of your mom’s favorite flower? If you have an idea, I will work with you to turn it into the perfect gift.
